Yaginohachi Honten Ryogoku Center has obtained US HACCP certification.


We are pleased to announce that our Ryogoku factory obtained the Seafood Processing Facility HACCP Certification Certificate (US HACCP) from the Japan Food Accreditation Organization (JFA) for the production of "Katsuo Katsuobushi" on October 22, 2024.

As a result, our Ryogoku factory has been recognized by a third-party organization for its hygiene management.

What is certification for seafood processing facilities for export to the US (HACCP for the US)?

When exporting seafood to the United States, EU, etc., it is mandatory that it be processed in a HACCP-certified facility, and in order to export seafood to the United States, certification of seafood processing facilities for export to the United States must be obtained from the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare or a third-party certification organization.
